AquaVenture 2026
The Artists’ Attic presents AquaVenture 2026, a juried regional exhibition of watercolor and water-based media, in partnership with the Kentucky Watercolor Society. The exhibition will be on view March 2–May 8, 2026 at The Artists’ Attic, 401 W. Main St., 4th Floor, Lexington, KY 40508.
An awards reception will be held Friday, March 20, 2026 from 4:00–5:00 pm. The public is also invited to view the exhibition during Gallery Hop on Friday, March 20 from 4:00–8:00 pm.
AquaVenture showcases contemporary and traditional approaches to watercolor and water media, featuring work by artists from Kentucky and surrounding states, including mixed media and experimental techniques.
The exhibition is open to the public Fridays and Saturdays from 12:00–5:00 pm or by appointment.
The Kentucky Watercolor Society, founded in 1977, is a nationally recognized nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting watercolor artists through exhibitions, education, and community engagement.

The renowned comic actor and author of Picasso at the Lapine Agile provides a wild satire adapted from the classic German play about Louise and Theo Markes, a couple whose conservative existence is shattered when Louise's bloomers fall down in public. Though she pulls them up quickly, he thinks the incident will cost him his job as a government clerk. Louise's momentary display does not result in the feared scandal but it does attract two infatuated men, each of whom wants to rent the spare room in the Markes' home. Oblivious of their amorous objectives, Theo splits the room between them, happy to collect rent from both the foppish poet and the whiny hypochondriac.

If you want to make your Saturday night spectacular, then join the Imperial Court of Kentucky for our annual Inner Diva pageant at The Bar Complex on Saturday 4 April at 8:30 pm. This pageant is for all the ladies out there that have always wanted to be a true DIVA!

Join us every other month for Book Bingo, where you can walk away a winner with prizes from both International Book Project and Wise Bird Cider. Book sales will begin at 6 PM, and bingo will kick off at 7 PM with rounds for both grown-ups and kids! (Kids' sheets are free, adult sheets are pay-what-you-can). You could walk away with some great reads, gift cards, or swag from your favorite cidery--not sure if bingo is your game? You can support just by grabbing your fave cider anytime between 6-9 PM! We'll be giving back 10% of our cider sales to support IBP, so they can continue the good work they do for our community and beyond. Or you can shop IBP's pop-up book store and enjoy a quiet evening on the patio with your newest read! There are so many ways to be a part of this evening...and so many chances to have FUN!

The American Rodeo East Regional at Alltech Arena will feature eight rodeo disciplines with up to 125 top athletes -including world renowned pros, everyday cowboys/cowgirls and even local competitors putting it all on the line in hopes of earning a spot at The American Rodeo Championship Weekend where they could win a life-changing $2 million bonus! Singer-songwriter and creative community builder, Jeri Katherine Howell, welcomes people of all ages and levels of singing experience to Come Sing x City Parks, a seasonal, place-based folk music program that sparks creativity, connection and civic engagement through outdoor community singing circles in Frankfort, Kentucky. Come Sing will meet at the Leslie Morris Park (Fort Hill) Gippy Graham Shelter on April 15, May 13 and June 17 and at the Cove Spring Park & Nature Preserve (Lower) shelter on July 15, August 12 and September 16 — all from 6 to 8 PM. Each session will include introductions to one another and the park, simple warm-ups, group singing and closing reflections. Come as you are, sing as you are! Musical trickster CONTENT CLOWN presents their puppet spectacle: gender, feels!! What happens when a clown goes on a gender journey? What squishy and strange creatures might they meet in the forest of their unconscious? Perhaps their queer ancestors: the mushrooms?! Come enjoy this absurd, puppet-fueled exploration of primal queerness!

Plus an opening act by ohyouare, who weaves together song, puppets, and spirit to make heart-centered and mystical performances.
